On Saturday 02/21/09 the Waco High School music department hosted the UIL Region 8 North Solo & Ensemble Contest. The WHS Band had a total of 57 entries this year, and I am pleased to announce that our students were able to capture 40 Division One Medals, 14 Division Two ratings, and 1 Division Three rating. The Waco High Band will be advancing 32 students to the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Austin TX. on Memorial Day Weekend. Some students are DOUBLE STATE qualifiers for Solo's and Ensembles. If you see any of the students listed below please congratulate them on their incredible achievement, dedication, and hard work.
